Story of Bigelow Mountain Guide Service:

By Kevin Tiberi, Owner and Sole Guide

Over thirty years ago I booked a bear hunt with Bigelow Mountain Guide Service, having much success through the early years of hunting there. It was run by a Legendary Master Maine Guide at the time. Becoming good friends with him, he taught me everything he knew about Bear hunting. After a few years following him around the beautiful Western Mountains of Maine, he pushed me to get my Guides License. After receiving my License over 18 years ago, I worked for him as a Bear Guide always watching and learning from him. Back in 2002, when age and poor health slowed him down to the point where he could no longer walk in the woods, he turned the Guide Service over to me. I have been running it ever since. I still bring my old friend to Bear Camp every year and his stories of hunts long ago always entertain the hunters in camp. I am proud to keep Bigelow Mountain Guide Service’s legacy alive.

A little More About Kevin:
Kevin started his outdoor career back when he was a young kid, following his Grandfather around in the woods and on the waters. He began hunting and fishing at a very young age. He has worked on offshore fishing boats and has hunted most of New England and in Canada. Kevin has held a guides license for many years and in the off season, when he is not guiding, he continues his career as a heavy equipment operator. Kevin is also a member of multiple organizations including the Maine Professional Guides Association, Mass Bowhunters Association, Lifetime Member of The National Trappers Association, and Lifetime Member of North American Hunting Club.
